For my first post, I have selected the topic about how to love somebody. The topic says, " If you behave as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him. " and as much as I know people would like to disagree with this, I must agree.
I agree with this statement because generally, if you put in the effort and try to care and listen to people you can get along with them. Now, love in this question can be either christian brotherly type love, or the love that a couple would have. In either case I do believe it is mostly mental, and as one of my favorite artists put it, "love is only in your mind, and not your heart" from a song called "Its Working" by MGMT. I completely agree with this, if you fully put yourself foreword and try to love a person you can love them.
People would like to disagree with this because they want to believe that there is a special somebody. In truth, there is probably somebody who is easier to love than others, more compatible. But if you really try, you can love almost anybody. I say almost because not everything is absolute. One might say that this is a rather dim look on life and very impersonal, saying that you can love anyone and that ones mind is more powerful than the heart. It is kind of sad if you think of it in a rudimentary type of way. But when you really think about that concept, it is pretty crazy.
That is why I believe that if you try to love, you can love and that love is in the mind, and not in your heart.
